In the third quarter of 2023, Norway's top 5 social apps on the Android platform—TikTok, Instagram, Instagram Lite, Reddit, and Facebook—demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

TikTok experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at around $50.8K in late June and then showing a gradual decline, closing the quarter with approximately $20.7K. Weekly downloads for TikTok remained relatively stable, ranging between 2.3K and 3.4K, while weekly active users saw a slight decrease from 369K to approximately 336K over the same period.

Instagram saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, starting at $315 in late June and reaching a high of $1.6K by late July. The revenue then stabilized around the $1.1K to $1.5K range. Weekly downloads for Instagram remained consistent, fluctuating between 1.2K and 1.3K. The app's weekly active users were also relatively stable, maintaining around 550K to 560K throughout the quarter.

Instagram Lite had no reported revenue but showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 910 and peaking at 1.3K in late August. Weekly active users also saw a positive trend, growing from 3.4K to around 4.2K by the end of September.

Reddit had a notable spike in weekly revenue in late July, reaching $2.1K, but overall, the revenue remained low, fluctuating between $47 and $246. Weekly downloads for Reddit ranged from 706 to 1.2K, while weekly active users demonstrated a steady increase from 113K to approximately 122K by the end of September.

Facebook exhibited consistent weekly revenue, ranging between $1.3K and $2.3K, with a noticeable peak in early August. Weekly downloads showed slight fluctuations, staying within the 700 to 880 range. Facebook's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.3M throughout the quarter.
